Defending Us Against Tyranny
So one more thing about the blowhards who think that their freedom is defined only by the number of firearms they possess, and who proclaim loudly that someday they have to use those firearms against the tyrannical Federal government:

Nice pictures. But a lot of people in category 1 above, who’s picture you didn’t post, once belonged to category 2, the bottom pictures.
2nd,a lot of the guys in category 2 above have fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters in category 1 and they won’t shoot them.

Those are good points. The guys in Category Two, as a practical matter, will never have to deal with the guys in Category One. Category One guys will never have the training, discipline, organization or mental wherewithal to pose a threat that cannot be effectively addressed by local law enforcement. Perhaps I should have posted pictures of SWAT teams.
The larger point that I am trying to illustrate is that the bluster about needing the little arsenals to resist government tyranny is nothing but empty talk, and tiresome talk at that. As I said in my prior post, this crowd is not going to resist tyranny if they cannot first resist a cheeseburger. They are blowhard armchair revolutionaries and amount to nothing but noise.

Just because you post a couple pictures of fat guys with guns doesn’t mean those guys are a good cross-sectional representation of people who might resist government tyranny. I knew a guy a couple years ago who was an ex-Seal who fought in Vietnam who was training people and he wasn’t fat, and neither were the people he was working with.
Post pictures of fat guys all you want. It doesn’t prove anything.
And this is not a new argument. It goes back to _before_ the Constitution was adopted and the Federalist Papers. The point that was made , I believe by Madison without looking it up, is that although a “militia” might be individually less skilled or well supplied, they would greatly outnumber the regular army of the time.
Now the fact is no one knows what the modern equation would look like, or exactly what form it would take. I would absolutely be the first to admit that. But posting pictures of some fat guys with guns proves nothing.

The fat guys are a metaphor. A metaphor inspired by the images coming out of the recent NRA convention (full disclosure: I did not attend the event, nor did I do a statistical analysis of the BMI of all the attendees).
What I did see was a bunch of old fat white guys with pony tails braying nonsense about how they were going to use their guns to resist tyranny. I also saw the Obama and ex-wife bleeding target mannequins which is just stupidity on stilts (no, not actual stilts. Metaphorical stilts. But actual stupidity). If there is an anti gun grabber rant forming as you read this, here is additional full disclosure: I am not anti-gun. I am anti-bullshit. And this resist tyranny hot air is bullshit in its purest form.

Well with no support you assert that these pictures ar right wing crazies but who ha any idea where you pictures came from and what th ideology of these perverts. I thought I may be helpful to demonstrat some left wing attitudes about guns that were outside the standard narrative.
